"I'm a Toronto based contemporary artist, passionately in love with colours. My venture into the joys of merging colours with canvas only began very recently. I look forward to seeing where this new voice for expression will lead. I enjoy creating abstract art - using acrylics primarily - and try to evoke a sense of beauty and inspiration through the interactions between colours as they find their place on the surface I'm working with. I endeavour to create pieces that produce the same passion for colours in others that I have always felt.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE colours. They make me happy, energize me and inspire me. My lifelong love for colours started quite early in my childhood. I grew up in a culture that is very colour-centric and that affected my sensibilities in the most positive way. Even before I started painting, I demonstrated my love for colours in various ways - through my clothes and through my love for fountain pens.

I am not a trained artist. Mostly self taught. I think the reason why I started painting so late in my life is because I thought I need to do things a certain way. I can't draw too well and I always thought that I need to be proficient at drawing and sketching if I want to be an artist. Then I had an epiphany. I love colours and they are so beautiful on their own. They do not need to be placed in a specific shape or form to be enjoyed. They can exist on their own. I haven't looked back since.

I only use Acrylic paints and mediums. I mostly create abstract art.

I am a full-time marketer and put in over 50 hours per week into my day job. Apart from painting, I love photography.
Back in November 2018, I bared my soul to the world for the first time. That's when I participated in my first group showcase. I think I will remember that day for a long, long time. All my trepidation, fear and hesitation turned into a sense of amazement and wonderment. I sold two of my biggest pieces that night. The realization that someone looked at a piece of my soul and thought to themselves that it would be a fitting addition to their home, was deliciously overwhelming and powerful. The response I received that night will continue to inspire me for a very long time."
